Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

To request a repeat prescription

  • Use KLINIK
  • Request from your pharmacy

Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 working hours after ordering.

You can ask us to arrange for your prescription to be collected by the chemist of your choice. If you request this service, your prescription will be ready for collection from the chemist.

Patients who receive regular prescriptions will sometimes be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse before their next repeat prescription is due. This is so that your medication can be assessed and altered as necessary.

Your doctor or nurse will try to find the best way of making you better. You may not always be given medicine, as there are many other ways to treat you. Please do not expect a prescription on every visit.

Pharmacy services

Your GP can send your prescription straight to a pharmacy/chemist electronically, to save you coming to the surgery to pick it up. In order for this to happen you need to nominate a pharmacy/chemist. To do this please log in to the online service, Systm Online . You can then pick up your medication from there, and it will save you a trip to the surgery. For more information, please visit the NHS Electronic Prescription Service Information Page.

Paper prescriptions can also be sent straight to your preferred pharmacy.
